PR!

Well, I sure didn't expect it, but I was scheduled for a 3 mile run, and that's what I did. However, I certainly didn't expect an 8:03 min/mile pace! That certainly is my best since I've been taking data. I also managed an average HR of 157. Again, no complaints!

I did feel a spot of slight twinge just above the lower ITB attachment point on the left knee again, but it didn't last much more than a min. It just became apparent around mile 1.5, but wasn't much, and didn't last. I'm not complaining, mind you. I guess my ITB is still just letting me know its there. *shrug*

All in all the run was good, started out on just a nice comfy decent pace. After a mile or so, I saw that I was at a 8:22 pace. Couldn't believe that! I just tried to see if I could hold that pace, and not look at the pace on my GPS watch either. I noticed the pace got harder and harder, which wasn't shocking. I just tried to hold what I thought was the same pace. At the end... my pace showed 8:03. I really suck at determining my pace on "how I feel." That is for sure.

The scheduling has me running 3 more of these 3 mile loops this week, then... next week I start with a 6. Of course, my "weeks" aren't at all in line with a calendar. My schedule is way too unpredictable and variable to be able to hold myself to that.
