I am most exceedingly happy to report that my ITB was fine with a distance of 5.24 miles today. I know this really isn't really a newsworthy distance, however, for me, well, this is the longest I've run since the injury last year. Added to my big frustrations a couple weeks back, well, this is big news to me. I even managed a 9:11 pace. I have to say, I don't quite understand my differences between the pavement and the treadmill. I'd swear that I run the same effort level and same speed on the road as I do on the tready. However, I run a 10min pace on the tready, and I tend to run around a 9min pace. My HRM does tell a slightly different story, I can report that. This, of course, is why I got a HRM in the first place. My HR is indeed higher running outside at the faster pace.
So, day off, and now a couple weeks of 3 and 4 mile runs. We'll see how that goes...
